How did you config the GB Studio project to make it also run on mobiles? :)

All GB studio projects can run on mobile. You just need to export as web, compress as a zip, and select the playable in browser options when uploading to itch.

Thanks for telling me.

Edit: I can finally use it thank you.

For those who also had this problem.

Solution:

  1. Set to 'Manually Set Size'
  2. Set Width and Height to 160x144.
  3. Set the Orientation to 'Portrait'
  4. Check the box beside 'Mobile Friendly'

Rough start to the game. But once I was able to heal I was really able to get into this game! Just needs some music. I want this on a cart.

Thanks! The game is definitely in need of some balancing in favor of the player, haha! It's really brutal.

Music is absolutely something I need to work on, but man is it a pain. I'd rather learn a whole programming language than try to learn how to make good music lol. But I really do need to start down that path since all my games are missing music and it would bring so much more to them.

I can help. I’m NeWaGe in the chat. I’ve recently figured out the easiest way to make music on the console.

The graphics are so awesome and so atmospheric. You did so much with the limited palette of the gameboy. Really nice to look at

I played to the point where you get back into town. The battle system seemed really sophisticated

Thanks! Big shout out to the artist, Anismuz, for the backgrounds. Their free asset packs really made this come together! I had to doctor it a little to set the colors right for GBstudio, but it all came together really nicely.

Battle system was fun to think up, I had to figure out a way to translate tabletop RPG mechanics without a Dungeon Master, and I think it worked out, but damn was it a pain to implement lol.  Any more rogue-likes or RPGs I work on will probably look to streamline it a bit.

I’d love to see that code! I can only imagine how hard it was to do that in GB studio

I'm really into tabletop RPGs (DnD) these days, and I find your game really fun to play ! The only little change I'd see would be to increase the cursor speed, either globally or by allowing to choose it in the menus. Great work!

Thanks for the feedback - that’s a great idea to add it to the menu, I can work that into the next release!

Wow! You did amazing with this!!!

good job fun game
